Launch event 2008
Our launch was happily a very successful and special day. We had lots of things going on and here is a taste of what we achieved...
Over 30 people attended our discovery bike ride around the local cycle network which was organised by the local Bike It! officer part of the Sustrans charity
20 houses took part in our front garden sale
We planted over 100 vegetable seeds
we supplied compost and seeds and people just had to bring a pot)
We gave away over 500 low energy lightbulbs

We sold over 200 of our recently commissioned fairtrade and organic cotton bags
We also gave away 200 of the co-op bags to those that completed a carbon footprinting survey.
Pupils from Castle Lower School designed a zero hero super hero
Their were over 30 stalls exhibiting or selling local or recycled goods
What a day!!
